How each LeoVegas tool works
The Time Out option lives on your Responsible Gaming page. Lengths on offer: 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks or 6 weeks. The account is frozen for that time. Once you confirm, LeoVegas will not reverse it. Marketing should stop within 48 hours.
Self-exclusion runs for a period you pick between 6 months and 5 years. You set it on the Additional Limits page while logged in. You cannot gamble, promotions stop (allow 48 hours), and you may not open an account on any other site on the LeoVegas Gaming plc licence. Open one anyway and LeoVegas says it will void every transaction and keep any winnings.
Five controls, each daily, weekly or monthly: deposit, loss, wagering and session limits, plus a Time Alert reality check that tells you how long you have played and what you have spent. The session limit warns you just before time is up, then logs you out. Days reset at 00:00 UTC, weeks on Monday, months on the 1st. Lowering a limit is instant. Raising one takes 24 hours, and then you have to go back and confirm it. Support cannot override your limits.
If gambling has become a problem, go to Profile, choose Close Account and confirm with your password. LeoVegas says an account closed for gambling addiction will never be reopened. An account closed for other reasons is different: support reviews reopening requests case by case, and the wait depends on why it was closed.
Setting it up, step by step
Log in on the app or site
App: tap the paw icon top left, then your profile. Browser: click the profile tab at the top.
Open the limits area
Game limits holds deposit, loss, wagering and session caps. Time-outs are on the Responsible Gaming page, self-exclusion on Additional Limits.
Pick the period and confirm
Read the length twice. Neither comes off early.
Withdraw what is left
Ask live chat to pay out your balance so it is not sitting there as a reason to return.
What LeoVegas does not publish
Nothing on active bonuses, free spins or loyalty progress when you exclude, and nothing on lifting a self-exclusion once it ends beyond contacting support. Treat any live bonus as lost.
What to do next, outside LeoVegas
One casino’s self-exclusion stops one group of sites. Ireland has no national block you can sign up to yet, so you have to build your own.
- The National Gambling Exclusion Register is not live. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 creates it, with planned periods of 6 months to 5 years, but you cannot join it today. Watch grai.ie for the launch.
- Block gambling on your bank card. AIB, Bank of Ireland and PTSB have offered card gambling blocks since 19 September 2025. Bank of Ireland applies one within two working days and takes up to two working days to lift it. AIB takes three working days to remove its block.
- Revolut users: switch on the gambling block under Profile, then Security & Privacy. It turns on straight away, and turning it off takes up to 48 hours.
- Install blocking software. BetBlocker is free. GamBan is a paid subscription. Both stop gambling sites loading on your devices.
- Exclude everywhere else you hold an account. LeoVegas itself tells self-excluding players to do this.
- Talk to someone. Gambling Care, Problem Gambling Ireland, the HSE and Gambling Therapy are free and confidential.
Bank blocks rely on merchant codes, so a payment not coded as gambling can slip through. Use a card block and software together.

No. LeoVegas states that once a time-out is confirmed it cannot reverse it, so the account stays frozen until the period you picked runs out.
Does self-excluding from LeoVegas also block Royal Panda?
LeoVegas says a self-excluded player may not open new accounts on any site run under the LeoVegas Gaming plc licence, which includes Royal Panda, Expekt and GoGo Casino. Already have one there? Exclude on it too.
Can I withdraw my balance while self-excluded?
Yes. Contact LeoVegas support by live chat and ask for the withdrawal to be pushed through. Pending bets still settle, and if you do nothing the money stays in the account until the exclusion ends.
What happens to my bonus if I self-exclude?
LeoVegas does not publish a rule for active bonuses or free spins during a time-out or self-exclusion. Assume anything with a deadline, like the 7-day wagering window on the welcome offer, will expire.
Is there a national self-exclusion register in Ireland?
Not yet. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 creates a National Gambling Exclusion Register, but it is not live. Until it is, you have to exclude with each operator separately and use bank blocks or blocking software on top.
